Lead Veterinary Technician
Asher has spent their life living right here in the heart of West Des Moines. They started working here with Family Pet Veterinary Center in high school on our boarding care team until they began classes at DMACC in the Veterinary Technician Program. Asher earned their Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology and became a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in 2019.
While attending DMACC Asher met their wife, Cassie, who was also attending classes to become an RVT. Asher and Cassie share their home with their dog, Jack, and two cats, Pam and Maize. When not working, Asher spends their time at home reading science fiction or baking. We always appreciate the snacks they bring us when they have a baking day!
Asher took on the role of Lead Veterinary Technician at the beginning of 2021. They work hard to ensure that all of their colleagues are providing the best care possible as well as overseeing many day to day tasks such as inventory management and team scheduling. Asher strives to offer the most fear free care as possible
