1. Extremely happy with the care that has been given to my fur baby Rylee. She is more than a pet to me, she is my family and I am blessed to have people take such good care of her. I would highly recommend them anytime. And Rylee has had some big surgeries well at least big to me and the Doctors have checkup up on her along with Courtney who works there, asking how Rylee is acting and even allowing me to send pictures of Rylee when I think something looks wrong, even when they are closed for the day.   3. I can’t say enough about Dr. Jen and her entire staff. This is the best experience in veterinary care that we have ever received. Our dog became paralyzed through a back injury and Dr. Jen convinced us to treat her with acupuncture and laser treatments. She recovered from this injury and is able to lead a normal life with the full use of her legs. During this entire process I feel Dr. Jen and her staff cared for our dog like she was their own pet.

  4. I took my two dogs, Ziggy and Nala to Family Pet Vet for years. My needs were not just normal annual exams (although I’m sure they are great with that!) - Ziggy would go in regularly for acupuncture, Nala had mobility issues later in life and a history of aggression with other vets. Dr. Ryan and the caring vet techs (especially Ben) have gone above and beyond to ensure the most loving, thorough and effective care for my pets. Dr. Ryan would regularly take extra time to call me to check in or answer my never-ending questions. They eventually helped me through the heartbreaking end of life process for both dogs. I cannot imagine a better team to care for my beloved pets - and I see them all interact with other clients/pets the same way. Everyone there is passionately committed to the wellbeing of the animals and the families they serve. When I am ready to adopt a new pet, without question, Family Pet Vet will be part of my new dog’s life every step of the way.

When we euthanized our dog one year ago; the experience was very sensitively handled – from discussions to help us make the decidion – to the actual euthanization. The Doctors and staff were very sensitive; which helped us significantly in dealing with this loss.

  6. Originally there due to an injury and they were close by. Received the utmost care. Although had to be referred on due to orthopedic surgery, they helped with an ear infection. I have now decided to make this my regular clinic. All staff and the doctor show how much they care for animals. My dog, Misty, liked everyone there. They educate you on necessary shots but do not pressure you into anything.

  8. Family Pet Veterinary Center and their Animal Dentistry Referral Services went above and beyond to help when we needed them most. Our sweet kitty was suffering from mouth pain and refusing to eat and drink. We were heading into the 4th of July holiday and we were in a near panic not knowing if we could get her through the holiday while people were off. Our normal vet was completely unavailable and not answering their phones. Anne, the client care coordinator, will forever have my gratitude. She spoke to me on Saturday and Sunday when my cat's condition seemed to be worsening. Taking my call on the weekend when I wasn't even an existing patient! She worked with Dr. Jen to squeeze me in on Monday morning even though the clinic was closing early. Dr. Jen and team spent the entire morning diagnosing my cat's issue and FINALLY giving us answers. Anne and Dr. Jen continued to be in contact and available via text or phone to answer any of my questions, even on the holiday. They were always there to help and provided answers in an extremely timely manner. Their services stand out. Honestly, I am not sure what we would have done without them. I read some people say that the vet is expensive; unfortunately vet bills are rarely what we expect, and they can sure be more than we might want to spend. But, everyone was abundantly clear and up front with pricing, so we always knew what a procedure, medicine, etc. would cost.

  15. Family Pet West and Norwalk have been caring for my dogs for years. The vets and vet techs are awesome. Offering curbside service in the COVID pandemic. They also have boarding and grooming services available. My girls have had regular yearly care exams as well as vaccinations, surgeries, acupuncture and dentistry. They are "Fear Free" offices and work to lower pet fear around visits to the vet! It is worth it to you and your pet to establish a regular care relationship with a veterinary practice like Family Pet West or Family Pet Norwalk!

  18. My senior dog (12 years old) had dental surgery at Family Pet Vet. We had a great experience and I would recommend others to have their pet’s dental procedures here! They kept me up to date, even calling me twice during the procedure to let me know how things were going. I felt nervous after dropping him off but reassured by every call that I got updating me on his condition. The notes I received on his chart were very thorough and explained in terms that I understood fairly well even though I am not in a medical field. This is a great place that has caring vet techs and specializes in dental procedures!

  19. I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Mathis and the staff in Norwalk. We were referred to her by our regular vet due to her oral specialty when we learned our cat had Salivary Gland Carcinoma. She performed a highly complex surgery on him and has given the best care possible in the months following. It has been a long road for our cat and she and her outstanding staff have been there every step of the way. We’ve continued to drive 40 minutes to doctor there because I can’t imagine trusting anyone else as much as I’ve grown to trust her. Our kitty will inevitably lose this battle but he is doing better than I would ever have imagined right now and I credit that to her tireless work to provide well researched options for us to ensure he has the best possible quality of life. Thanks for so many things, but most of all, the peace of mind we have because of the wonderful people who are fighting for him! You guys are the absolute best!
